Unblinkered, eh – what’s that? So here’s the perspective. And yes, its about perceptions and perspectives.

Unblinkered means not being narrow or limited in scope. It refers to an approach in communication that is broad, inclusive and diverse – to make the invisible, inspiring. It challenges some deeply embedded mental models, particularly narratives that often come from a single perspective or source. So, unblinkered is about collectively removing the blinkers we knowingly or unknowingly wear to expand our field of vision.

In an era of abundance where AI, chatbots, predictive analytics, and global teams are ever-present, and where even the freshest ideas are just a click away, we find ourselves pondering on the essence of creativity. That pondering birthed Unblinkered – a communication agency and more importantly a creative approach to problem solving that is sensible, sensitive and free of puffery. A framework for marketing that is non-coercive – which doesn’t control people and their perceptions through fancy commercials, fantasy characters or dramatic make up, but rather tells the truth from many perspectives so people can be their own authority.

Unblinkered is based in Zürich, forefronted by Uma and supported by dozens and dozens of multilingual creatives around the world. The teams are fluid and put together based on the social or business objectives we work to solve.

Marketing anything to a varied demographic requires craft, creativity and clarity but more importantly human skills and values enhanced by cultural context. It requires thinkers who have a broader perspective of the world – perspectives beyond books, LLMs, lenses and lectures – perspectives that come through a rich tapestry of lived moments with an ability to see voids and bridge it, with a good conscience.

Unblinkered, therefore, is a confluence of creativity, infused with multifaceted perspectives, context, clarity, and timeless human values that will continue to grow in importance in the age of AI. Its a little drop in the vast ocean of creativity – but a drop which makes the ocean.
